A Life of Service. A Career in Education.

Bonnie Greaves has spent years serving others—as an Army veteran, a mother of four, a longtime member of the Wake County community, and an educator working across a wide range of classrooms and student-support programs.

Her experience includes autism support, behavioral support, special education, English language arts, and English learner instruction across elementary, middle, and high school settings. She is running because school board decisions should be informed by people who understand what those decisions look like inside real classrooms.

I believe the people making decisions about our schools should understand how those decisions affect teachers, students, and families in real classrooms.

Practical Leadership

Listen Carefully. Ask the Right Questions. Measure the Results.

Bonnie believes strong school board leadership requires more than good intentions. Decisions should begin with input from educators and families, include clear expectations, and be evaluated based on whether they improve outcomes for students.

Listen Before Implementing

Teachers, families, administrators, and support staff should have meaningful opportunities to explain how proposed decisions may affect classrooms and students.

Connect Spending to Outcomes

Public investments should have clear goals, transparent reporting, and a way to determine whether programs are producing meaningful results.

Support the People Doing the Work

Policies and programs succeed only when educators and staff have the resources, time, training, and support needed to carry them out effectively.
